Shady Acres is open year round with planned activities November through March.  You can also enjoy swimming, horseshoes, shuffleboard or just plain relaxing- outdoors or in the air-conditioned recreation hall. 

Centrally located in Donna, midway between Harlingen Acres Resort is a welcome escape from hustle and bustle perhaps the best value in the Valley.
We are located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley near Expressway 83, Donna, TX.  The city of Donna and its surrounding area has approximately 26,000 people.  We are loaded with attractions from golfing, fishing, Winter Texan events, Charro Days, air shows, great birding, shopping centers, flea markets ad wildlife refuges.  Mexico and South Padres Island are only minutes away.  The climate is semitropical, with the average daily temperature in  the winter around the 70’s.

Nature lovers from around North America visit annually to make this oasis their year round residence.
